One day all our birds will leave the nest, but in the meantime they are learning how to fly. And from the looks of it they will soar! Using an array of colored feathers, spirit gum, makeup, creativity, and a little love our May’s “Becoming A Make Up Artist” class were able to transform their follow students into the beautiful “Birds of Paradise” you see here. Each student using their favorite bird as their inspiration and a masquerade twist to perfect their beautiful creation.

April’s SFX workshop- The students really enjoyed the SFX workshop they learned how to re-create cuts, gashes, bruises and bald caps. If SFX is your passion this is a great way to test your abilities and see if you have what it takes. If your specialty is Beauty makeup this is a great way expand your knowledge as an Artist and Maximize on job opportunities . This would just be one more thing to have under your belt.We will be having another one in JUNE!!! Here are a few sneak peak photos. This is the only time I will say this; but this is definitely GORY in a good way!

We are now carrying the Crown Flawless Face Blender at L Makeup. This cute pink sponge is non-latex, non-allergenic & odorless which works exceptionally well to create a flawless finish. Makeup Forever Pro-Artist event Featuring Lissette Waugh

This past Sunday Lissette was one of the featured artist for Makeup Forever”s 3 Day Pro-artist event held at the Palazzo. The look was Las Vegas Red Carpet. Now, when you think of red carpet most of us opt to more of that Hollywood glam or that classic red lip. Which is a timeless and gorgeous look but when it comes to Las Vegas red carpet it definitely differs. It takes beauty a step further with the “wow factor”! The best way to describe it is think Kim K., Pussycat Dolls and Paris Hilton. Sultry, sexy and absolutely stunning! Lissette created a beautiful smokey eye with a hint of lavender. The model had brown eyes so she felt that the lavender would compliment the eyes and make them pop. Showing the step by step process how to create the perfect red carpet look and what you would want to you use to make the look last all night long! In order to have a red carpet look your makeup MUST have staying power. The event was fully booked and was such a great turn out! It was nice to see so many of alumni students of L Makeup Institute as well as other pro-artists all joined together taking advantage of such a great event and experience. Being a professional makeup artist requires that hunger to constantly learn, take your skills a step further and always staying on top of the latest trends and styles. These are all highly important factors on being the best at what you do!
