Enrollment Policy & Process:
The L Makeup Institute Programs and Courses are open to individuals who are US citizens, permanent residents or individuals with a valid study visa or work permit and must be at least 18 years of age or have proof of a High School Diploma or equivalent. Candidates must be able to speak, write, and comprehend English. A valid photo ID and transcript will be required prior to the start of class. The L Makeup Institute does not admit Ability-to-Benefit Students at this time.
Programs and Courses are limited in size and booked on a first come, first serve basis. At the L Makeup Institute we are committed to helping Candidates select the area of study that will best help them reach their occupational goals. For this reason, we recommend that Candidates consult with the Admissions Office prior to submitting their application.
As a part of the enrollment process, all applicants are interviewed to assess their artistic potential, desires, and true willingness to become a Makeup Artist in determining if the applicant is a good fit for the Institute. The L Makeup Institute is private and exclusive and as such reserves the right to be selective in its choice of applicants considered for enrollment and to invite those individuals who possess a positive attitude and show potential for developing makeup ability. The L Makeup Institute has set this high level of standards for our students, alumni and educators because those who meet together in our institute today are the professionals who will be working together in the future. The L Makeup Institute does not and will not discriminate on the basis of sex, race, age, ethnic origin, disability, religion or sexual preference.
To enroll in any Program or Course, the candidate must complete a Student Application and pay a $100, non-refundable application fee. In order to complete the enrollment process, applicants must return their signed enrollment agreement and supporting documents prior to the start of class. In addition, applicants must confirm that they have secured their finances. Student forms may be obtained, at the Admissions Office, through an Admissions Advisor.
The L Makeup Institute offers financing by which tuition can be paid. Our Financing Department will assist each applicant in finding the method that best suits him or her. Approved financing along with a signed Financing Agreement must be in place 14 days prior to the first day of class. For those applicants who have secured their own funding, tuition for all Programs, Courses and Workshops require payment in full 14 days prior to the start of class.
